We've got two lovely framed awards from the snappily-titled Scottish Food and Drink Excellence Awards 2006. We were presented with both the 'Best Retail Bakery and Cereal Product' and the 'Best Food Service Sweet Product'. We were also runners-up for the over-all prize, which was won by some folk who farm organic cod in Orkney. You could say therefore that we are the 'Best Scottish Food Product That Isn't a Fish 2006' , but that would be putting more words in your mouth than is comfortable.

This one was for the mother-in-law. Or at least, it was my sparkly mother-in-law, in her most sparkly dress, who collected this award for us at a posh do. We were busy doing important things, (on holiday) so couldn't make it. The award was given for export, recognising our sales success in the USA through the Wholefoods Market chain of organic stores.

Another commendation. Thank you!

A commendation for our increasingly-popular Oat Crumbles this year. Thank you!

OK, so we didn't actually win this one - but we were nominated along with my family (who are the makers of Isle of Mull Cheese) in the Food category of the Spirit of Scotland Awards. We even managed to get our faces on TV, which was exciting. But no-one saw it, because there was a repeat of Monarch of the Glen on the other side.

This one we did actually win, and very nice it was too. A fancy dinner, stage lighting and emotional thank-you speeches. Who needs an Oscar when you've got one of these?

All of our biscuits have in one year other won a Great Taste Award. They're awarded by the Guild of Fine Food Retailers, and are blind-tasted by a panel of chefs, food writers and critics.
